Adoption Process
-
What health tests do you perform on your dogs?We conduct a comprehensive health testing regimen for all our dogs, which includes assessments for heart, eyes, patella, and hips. Furthermore, we ensure they maintain their OFA certification. Additionally, each dog undergoes DNA testing for Episodic Falling Syndrome, Curly coat/dry eye, and degenerative myelopathy.
-
What is your policy on spaying/neutering, and at what age do you recommend it?If you are adopting a puppy with a limited AKC registration (for non-breeding purposes), you are expected to spay or neuter your puppy after 10 months of age to allow full hormone maturity.
-
What is included in the puppy's adoption package? We include a small bag of puppy food to help them adjust to their new diet. We also provide a puppy care package including training resources, guidance and more.
-
Do you have any available puppies? As of currently (9/20/23), we have two male puppies available. Please see our "Available Puppies" tab to learn more about them.
-
What is your socialization and training process for puppies? Our puppies are trained to utilize a dog door for potty training. They are raised in our home with devoted cuddling time and interaction. Our puppies are introduced to children at a young age to ensure they're comfortable with handling.
-
Can I visit your breeding facility or meet the parents of the puppies? We don't have a breeding facility - all our puppies and dogs are in our home. You are welcome to visit to meet the puppies and the proud mama. We do utilize stud dogs from other reputable breeders.
-
How much do your puppies cost?We offer a limited AKC registration (for family pets) for $2,500. This includes your $500 non-refundable deposit. We do have full AKC-registered adoptions, as well, for approved adopters. Please inquire to learn more about our fully-registered adoptions.
-
What is your return or health guarantee policy for puppies?Per our contract, we provide a one-year health guarantee. Upon receiving your new cavalier puppy, you must have it examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours. If the puppy is found to be not in good health (other than minor or correctable issues), all adoption fees will be returned to the buyer and the breeder will resume possession of the puppy, if both parties are in agreement.
